After you decide to hold a Garage Sale, choose a location that will offer adequate parking for potential buyers. If your residence does not offer this, considering asking a friend, whose location does have plenty of parking available, if they would like to host a Garage Sale with you at their home.

While most people might think holiday weekends are a good time to have their Garage Sales, these can often not be the best dates. People generally make plans with family and friends on weekends such as Memorial Day, the 4th of July and Labor Day. Generally, you’ll have a better turn-out on a non-holiday weekend. One exception would be if you have a prime location with lots of tourist traffic.
